RESPONSIBILITIES

We're seeking a talented Procedural Technical Artist specialized in Houdini to join our team. The successful candidate will create layouts, work with existing assets to fill the game worlds, and craft procedural tools for putting together dynamic assets. The candidate will also follow the production schedule and the chosen artistic view, as well as work closely with our Game Design, Level Design, and Art teams.

  • Create layouts – outdoor and indoor.

  • Fill game worlds with assets.

  • Craft procedural tools for putting together dynamic assets.

  • Optimize your work.

  • Conduct research for art references.

  • Suggest methods of how to automatize game worlds development with Houdini.

  • Proactively suggest developments of our proprietary engine.

  • Be on top of what's going on in the industry, gametech in particular.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong experience in and understanding of Houdini with the focus on graphical content procedural generation.

  • Strong understanding and sense of graphical shape, form, and silhouette.

  • Solid understanding of linear algebra and vector calculus.

  • Proficiency in VEX.

  • Experience in Python.

  • Good English, Russian is a plus.

  • Good time management skills.

  • Able to work efficiently independently as well as in a team.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Passion for games.

Preferences

  • Experience working in a game engine.

LEAD 3D ARTIST NEW IP

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Lead 3D Artist to join our team. The job will require working with the Art team to create cutting edge 3D assets for our new AAA IP.

Work closely with Designers, Concept Artists, and Art Directors to create man-made and natural objects, parts of levels, and playable scenery.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in AAA game development, modeling, and texturing.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in leading artists.

  • Superior eye for light, shade, color, and detail in creating texture maps.

  • An exceptional understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette.

  • Extensive knowledge of Maya/Max/Modo, Photoshop, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Baking Tools.

  • In-depth knowledge about the pipeline requirements of real-time game art.

  • Able to work creatively as part of a large or small group.

  • Take ownership and supervision of art assets through all pipeline stages.

  • Ability to directly manage, teach. and mentor other artists.

  • Participate in the interviewing and hiring process of artists.

  • Have shipped at least one AAA PC or console title in a similar position.

  • Excellent communication skills in English.

We are seeking a Creature 3D Artist to join our team. The job will require working with the Art team to create highly detailed, life-like creatures for our new AAA IP.

Work closely with Designers, Concept Artists, and Art Directors to create scary and beautiful life forms.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in AAA game development, modeling, and texturing organic objects.

  • Superior eye for light, shade, color, and detail in creating texture maps.

  • An exceptional understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette.

  • Extensive knowledge of Maya/Max/Modo, Photoshop, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Baking Tools.

  • Deep understanding of animation requirements for low poly models.

  • In-depth knowledge about the pipeline requirements of real-time game art.

  • Able to work creatively as part of a large or small group.

  • Good communication skills in English.

Create photo-realistic indoor and outdoor levels in game engine. Lights setup, instancing, placing particles, etc.

Work in-between game design and 3D Art teams.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Have experience with game engines like Unreal, Cryengine, etc.

  • Good understanding of light, composition, color-coding.

  • Intermediate experience with any 3D modeling package.

  • Understanding modular design.

  • Understanding resource balancing and experience in optimizing scenes.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Artistic/architectural/engineering education or background.

  • Versatility in used tools and performed tasks.

A successful candidate will create visually distinctive concepts that create a believable new game universe. The candidate will work together with our Art Director, Creative Lead, and Game Designers to achieve imagery that meets all technical, scenario, and stylistic conditions.

  • Create detailed concepts for locations.

  • Create spectacular art and posters for marketing purposes.

  • Develop visual ideas independently and with the Creative team.

  • Visualize ideas through sketches, references, and written descriptions.

  • Create final publication-ready artwork.

  • Make overpaints on different stages of development.

  • Play the project often, analyze, and find ways to improve visuals.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 3 years of experience working on illustrations and character concepts for games.

  • An exceptional understanding of mood, lighting, composition, color-coding with a keen eye towards form, shape, structure, anatomy, proportions, and silhouette.

  • Advanced knowledge of Photoshop or similar painting software.

  • Ability to transfer a list of starting conditions and wishes to a coherent, harmonious image.
